Assistant Sommelier

We’re looking for:

A passionate and curious individual to join our small team as a Flex Assistant Sommelier / Captain — a hybrid role that blends floor leadership, wine service, and guest engagement.

This is an ideal position for someone who loves wine, enjoys storytelling, and wants hands-on experience learning about Spain’s diverse wine regions and culinary traditions.

You’ll work closely with our Wine Director and front-of-house team to deliver thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuine hospitality — all while deepening your understanding of one of the most exciting wine programs in the city.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist the Wine Director in curating, organizing, and maintaining the wine list and cellar.
• Lead or support wine service on the floor, including bottle presentation, pairing recommendations, and tableside hospitality.
• Serve as captain or lead server during service — ensuring flow, communication, and guest satisfaction.
• Educate guests and staff on our wines, regions, and producers.
• Participate in tastings, staff training, and ongoing education.
• Support a collaborative, respectful, and inspiring team culture.

What We’re Looking For:

• A genuine passion for wine and food — especially Spanish wine and cuisine.
• Some experience in wine service or fine/casual dining preferred, but eagerness to learn is key.
• Strong communication and guest engagement skills.
• A flexible, team-oriented mindset — comfortable balancing sommelier and captain duties.
• Curiosity, humility, and an appetite for growth
