We’re looking for:
A passionate and curious individual to join our small team as a Flex Assistant Sommelier / Captain — a hybrid role that blends floor leadership, wine service, and guest engagement.
This is an ideal position for someone who loves wine, enjoys storytelling, and wants hands-on experience learning about Spain’s diverse wine regions and culinary traditions.
You’ll work closely with our Wine Director and front-of-house team to deliver thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuine hospitality — all while deepening your understanding of one of the most exciting wine programs in the city.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist the Wine Director in curating, organizing, and maintaining the wine list and cellar.
- Lead or support wine service on the floor, including bottle presentation, pairing recommendations, and tableside hospitality.
- Serve as captain or lead server during service — ensuring flow, communication, and guest satisfaction.
- Educate guests and staff on our wines, regions, and producers.
- Participate in tastings, staff training, and ongoing education.
- Support a collaborative, respectful, and inspiring team culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine passion for wine and food — especially Spanish wine and cuisine.
- Some experience in wine service or fine/casual dining preferred, but eagerness to learn is key.
- Strong communication and guest engagement skills.
- A flexible, team-oriented mindset — comfortable balancing sommelier and captain duties.
- Curiosity, humility, and an appetite for growth

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($14.00 - $18.00) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $950
