Senior Accountant

Unapologetic Foods is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team!

Our ideal candidate is dynamic and grounded in their financial background, looking to bring their experience and proven systems to drive growth and scalability.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and knowledge of GAAP principles
• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Manage and maintain fixed assets records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
• Responsible for the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis
• Continuously improve processes for efficiency, accuracy, and automation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and alignment

Required skills and expertise:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; or similar degree is required
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with a strong preference for experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., R365, POS systems, third party software integration), advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial controls, and audit processes.
• Ability to pivot between competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and business acumen; ability to collaborate effectively with operational and executive teams.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 annually depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), PTO and dining discounts.
