We are looking for a detail-driven Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day financial accuracy of a multi-concept hospitality group. This is a hands-on, operationally connected finance role with room to grow into a Director of Finance as the company scales. You will partner directly with operators and the CEO across several venues to ensure our financial reporting is accurate.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accuracy
  • Own weekly and monthly financial reporting across all venues.

  • Prepare, review, and distribute weekly Flash reports, P&L statements, variance analyses, and cash flow insights.

  • Ensure accuracy in all financial data inputs coming from operations, accounting, and POS systems.

Operational Finance Partnership
  • Act as the day-to-day finance partner for General Managers, Chefs, and Directors of Operations.

  • Provide real-time guidance on labor, COGS, purchasing, and controllables.

  • Ensure operators understand their numbers and are accountable to them.

  • Serve as a liaison between operations and corporate accounting.

Daily Auditing & POS Integrity
  • Audit comps, voids, discounts, promos, and check edits daily.

  • Ensure all sales are properly routed to the correct categories across all brands.

  • Identify irregularities, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings to operators for correction.

  • Strengthen controls around POS workflows and guest check management.

Inventory & COGS Structure
  • Oversee the full inventory process across multiple brands.

  • Implement stronger structure, consistency, and discipline around inventories.

  • Validate COGS accuracy, investigate gaps, and drive corrective actions.

  • Support teams in improving ordering, waste management, and cost controls.

P&L Oversight
  • Lead monthly P&L reviews with operators and leadership.

  • Identify trends, variances, and actionable opportunities.

  • Create clear, digestible reporting for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Systems & Process Improvements
  • Work closely with POS, accounting, and reporting systems (Toast, SevenRooms, QuickBooks, etc.).

  • Strengthen financial processes, tighten controls, and eliminate inefficiencies.

  • Support implementation of new financial tools and procedures as the group grows.

Qualifications
  • 4–8+ years of financial management or controller experience (hospitality preferred).

  • Strong understanding of restaurant or hotel P&Ls, inventory systems, and cost control.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and relentless about accuracy and follow-through.

  • Comfortable working closely with operators in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to drive accountability with non-finance teams.

  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and financial reporting tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple concepts, deadlines, and priorities without dropping the ball.
