Saltie Girl is a Boston based restaurant that opened their second location in the heart of the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. We’re a vibrant seafood haven that excels in bringing coastal dining to the city with a chic, laidback atmosphere. The menu is a celebration of freshness and creativity that celebrates seafood.
Position Summary:
We are looking to fill the position of lead host for Saltie Girl, a true neighborhood restaurant. Hosts will work alongside the entire FOH and BOH team and create a warm, positive and welcoming environment for staff and guests alike.
Hosts are the first person the guest will see and interact with when they walk through the door. The host is responsible for setting the tone for the night and representing Saltie Girl in a positive, caring and upbeat manner. They’re also responsible for greeting the guests in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner. Hosts will be required to set-up and manage reservations as well as walk in guests and will be asked to engage in all aspects of service from seating to food running to clearing and re-setting tables during down time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Manage reservation book prior to service. (experience with Resy or Open Table preferred, grid experience a plus)
- Manage the floor during service, keeping track of tables, turn times, and incoming reservations.
- Greet and seat guests.
- Balance reservations with a large percentage of walk-in guests.
- Communicate with guests in a kind informative manner
- Arrive on time in a neat, clean uniform with proper grooming and personal hygiene
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Pay rate flexible depending on experience
