About Us: We’re Michael and Jimmy, two second-generation Korean Americans opening a kimbap restaurant in Chicago!
We’re on a mission to bring fresh, high-quality kimbap to Chicago, while uplifting and celebrating the city’s Asian community. Food is our love language! Your training will teach you everything you need to know to succeed on the job. There are a few skills we value in our team members:
We’re looking for a full-time prep cook who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong communication skills, communication is key
- Adept at prep work - dicing vegetables, cooking eggs, working with large volume ingredients
- Experience working in a shared kitchen with other tenants using same space
- Flexible with type of work - willing to help service team with whatever tasks may be needed
- You understand that work is easier - and more fun - with teamwork and a great attitude!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepping and assembling food to spec
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Stocking and making sure all ingredients needed are available
- Supporting the team during busy hours, both opening / closing shifts
Schedule:
- Full-time
- We are seeking individuals who can work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
