STARR Restaurants seeks a skilled Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Managerto join our rapidly growing, industry-leading Company. 

 

Based in Center City, Philadelphia, and reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the HRIS Manager will thoroughly understand and be able to utilize the current HRIS system (ADP Vantage) and its modules along with experience in other HRIS systems. This position ensures the data integrity in the HR/Payroll system through audit and review. Also responsible for writing, producing, and documenting accurate, valid, and efficient reports using the current ADP Vantage database. 

 

Position duties: 

  • Oversees the day-to-day operation, optimization and maintenance of STARR’s Human Resources Information System. 
  • Develop, write, execute, and deliver reports as required or requested.  Ability to develop custom reports, dashboards, and analytics. 
  • Ensure data entered in the HRIS (ADP Vantage) is monitored, maintained, reliable, and valid by conducting regular audits and data cleansing activities to ensure accuracy.  
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and author operating procedures associated with the system. 
  • Partner with Human Resources and our Payroll Team to refine processes, standards, and workflows to maximize efficiency and data integrity in the HRIS.  Assists in enforcing data protection laws. 
  • Continuously evaluate organizational needs relative to HRIS; ensure HRIS meets the organizational needs. 
  • Maintain and administer the Company’s benefits strategies, programs, and policies, including but not limited to reviewing reported Life Events, maintaining Workers’ Compensation reports, and maintaining 401k report.  
  • Perform billing reconciliation for benefits reports to identify and address necessary adjustments and discrepancies. 
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and understanding of technology trends and practice standards relevant to the management of HRIS. 
  • Maintain documentation of any system customizations and review all system releases and updates. 
  • Maintain documentation for all custom interfaces. 
  • Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly interfaces perform as expected and flow to and from the HRIS (ADP Vantage) and our third-party vendors. 
  • Maintain the Report Library and Dashboards; create, modify, or design report content relative to Human Resources and Payroll. 
  • Actively participates in problem-solving and recommending solutions for all HRIS and Payroll systems issues. 
  • Maintain all Payroll data relative to employee pay rates and Adjustment rules to ensure all employees are paid accurately and within State minimum wage laws. 
  • Maintain Manager/Employee Security access within ADP Vantage. 
  • Handles system updates, integrations, configurations, and migrations in partnership with our vendors and IT teams. 
  • Work with operations teams (corporate and restaurant level) to support onboarding administration, maintain and update SOPs as systems evolve, and provide troubleshooting assistance to ensure smooth operational execution 

 

Requirements: 

  • ADP experience required 
  • Proven ability to navigate and administer a complex database using RBP (Role Based Permissions) 
  • 5+ Years of experience with HRIS systems 
  • Excellent PC Software knowledge and database reporting tools, including Access and Excel 
  • Analytical skills and ability to read and interpret HRIS technical data 
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to effectively assist system users in resolving problems and questions 
  • Experience working with tipped employee population preferred 
  • Preferred hospitality, retail, or other multi-unit experience 
  • SHRM Certification preferred 
  • Knowledge of Aloha or similar restaurant POS software a PLUS
