Founded in Brooklyn in 2016, King David Tacos is a woman-owned CPG / Hospitality hybrid food company, focused on making a better on-the-go breakfast. Our breakfast tacos are critically-acclaimed, and we have established the breakfast taco market in New York.
We operate out of our 11,000 square foot headquarters and production facility in Prospect Heights. We are a vertically-integrated business, and we sell our breakfast tacos across Retail (brick & mortar, mobile, catering) and Wholesale (foodservice) channels.
Our products–breakfast tacos–are straightforward, but require great attention to detail. We produce all of our ingredients and menu items daily and then package our breakfast tacos for grab’n’go.

We are hiring a part-time Production Team Member in our production facility in Prospect Heights.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Schedule:
- 2-4 days per week, including Saturday
- 3 pm - 10 pm or 2 pm - 10pm, with the occasional need to stay later
This position is available immediately and there is always opportunity for long-term growth.
What you'll be doing:
- Working with a team to assemble tacos with prepared ingredients, wrapping and packaging for grab'n'go
- Follow and observe established standards and portion control to ensure highest quality and consistency
- Abide by our Food Safety Plan, using basic food safety skills related to FIFO, labeling, sanitation and hygiene
Requirements:
- Relevant experience or training in a food production or restaurant setting, in a high-volume restaurant or commissary / production-centric kitchen preferred
- Food Protection Certification (Food Handler's License) preferred (Starting wage is $1 more/hour with Food Protection Certificate)
- A commitment to making a consistent product that you are proud of
- A self-starter and independent worker
- A desire to work smarter, and maximize your hours
- A team mentality and a good attitude
- A sense of urgency and a strong work ethic
- This role requires attention to safety, physical dexterity and intermittently required to use hands, arms, legs, feet, body, and trunk to carry, lift/lower, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
