What we're looking for:
A reliable PM line cook who can hold down a garde manger station with composure and an attention to detail. Formal experience is less important than a willingness to learn and work hard every day. Hours would be approximately 2 pm to close (9:30-11 depending on the day).
What’s the starting pay:
$25 per hour.

Houseman is a 10 year-old restaurant with a creative seasonal menu. Our customers are a mix of regulars and destination diners. The team in the kitchen is small. Mnay of us worked together before and through the pandemic. We value diversity, good communication, mutual respect, and inclusion.

Our name-Houseman-refers to a Scandanavian word that translates to seasonal local food. Houseman’s menu investigates what seasonal local food is in today's New York City. Our careful but not fussy food blends the familiar with the unexpected. We love big, well-articulated flavors, contrasting textures, spice, and acidity.
