Job Summary:
Essential by Christophe is seeking a polished and proactive Server Assistant to join our front-of-house team! The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, efficiency, and a passion for hospitality to every shift. As a Server Assistant, you will support Captains and Food Runners in executing seamless service, contributing to the elevated guest experience that defines our Michelin-starred restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend preshift meetings to stay informed on restaurant goals, service notes, and menu updates.
• Assist in setting and resetting tables throughout service with precision and attention to detail.
• Support Captains and Runners by delivering water, clearing plates, refreshing silverware, and maintaining clean and organized tables.
• Monitor guest needs and ensure tables are properly maintained throughout the dining experience.
• Anticipate team needs and communicate effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
• Assist with polishing glassware, silverware, and dishware to uphold presentation standards.
• Stay composed and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ensure stations and service areas remain clean and stocked throughout service.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of service, including sidework and deep cleaning tasks.
• Provide respectful, professional, and gracious service to all guests and colleagues.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant preferred.
• Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
