Experienced Lead Bartender & Mixologist
Cornerstone Bistro is looking to hire an experienced lead bartender, who also crosses over as a server for the 10 guests, for our growing team. We are a company that believes in creating incredible guest experiences through exceptional service and beautifully sourced food paired with an ever matching beverage program. In October 2025, we clebrated 10 years of Cornerstone which has grown organically and successfully over the years. Cornerstone has quickly become one of the most sought after restaurants in the Philadelphia area. Garnering many regional and national awards from Wine Spectator and Christine Kondra as Best Sommelier on the Mainline of Philadelphia.
Expected income of $95-$125,000 + benefits annually
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Wine Director & Head Bartender on cocktail creation and the direction of the full spirits and spirit-free offerings
- Collaborate with the culinary team to pair drinks with menu offerings.
- Checking quality and quantity of all stock and supplies
- Anticipating and communicating replenishment needs
- Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant
- Keeping the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service
- Accurately accounting for cash/credit card vouchers
- Upholding service standards to ensure a memorable guest experience
- Maintaining and upholding our company's vision and values
- Demonstrating a passion for details and a willingness to learn
- Taking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
- Exhibiting a familiarity with daily menus
- Participating in service/culinary/wine education sessions
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of bartending experience.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($8.00) plus tips

Christine & Nicholas Kondra, owner & chefs + husband & wife team returned home after spending 10 years in Boston & Nantucket to open Cornerstone in the Fall of 2015. Christine working as a private chef & restaurant owned by the famed chef partners Jamie Bissonnette & Ken Oringer. Nick working his way up on the Nantucket & Boston restaurant scene, working at the famed Straight Wharf Restaurant (Nantucket) & Ten Tables in Harvard Square. Upon returning in Jan '14, Nick became the pasta chef at Amis under the well respected Brad Spence & Marc Vetri.
