JF Restaurants by Michelin-Starred and Award-winning Chef John Fraser is hiring for an experienced Food Runner to join our team at The Wall Street Hotel. If this is you, we want to hear from you!
As a Food Runner, you have a direct impact on the level of service that we offer to our guests, not only through your assistance of the waiters, but your interaction with the guests themselves. Additionally, you are the key liaison between the front of the house and the kitchen, and your clear communication will lend itself to a smooth service. Together, we will work to provide a memorable dining experience for each of our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Delivers food orders to the correct table in a timely manner. Assists the server as necessary to ensure that the guest is served immediately
- Ensure work stations are well stocked, maintain the cleanliness of the workspace throughout the shift
- Demonstrate knowledge of all menu items, as well as daily specials
- Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during, and after service
- Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution
- Ensure tables are clear of any used/empty dishware, silverware, glassware
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business needs
- Complete all assigned side work as assigned by Management
Requirements:
- Basic cocktail, wine, and spirit knowledge
- Sound judgment and knowledge of operations, as well as menu knowledge.
- Great customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high volume environment and ability to multi-task and work under pressure while still being detail oriented and personable.
- Good organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write and speak proficient English.
- Must have open availability
