We’re expanding our creative footprint with a series of Maison Tara Pop-Up Cafés — immersive, design-forward café experiences that showcase our signature culinary artistry in an approachable, everyday setting.

Position Overview

Maison Tara is seeking a dynamic and organized Pop-Up Café Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our upcoming café pop-ups in New York City. The ideal candidate is a natural host and operational expert — someone who brings warmth, efficiency, and brand alignment to every guest interaction. This role blends hospitality, management, and creative execution, offering the opportunity to help shape a distinctive culinary experience from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily café operations, including staff scheduling, inventory, ordering, and service flow.

  • Ensure each pop-up reflects Maison Tara’s brand standards of hospitality, presentation, and quality.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise café staff; foster a positive, professional, and motivated team culture.

  • Coordinate with the culinary and events teams to execute rotating menus and seasonal concepts.

  • Handle vendor relationships, logistics, and compliance (permits, health and safety, etc.).

  • Manage POS systems, cash handling, and basic financial reporting.

  • Act as on-site brand ambassador, ensuring an elevated guest experience at all times.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in café, restaurant, or hospitality management.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.

  • Proven ability to manage operations in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.

  • Passion for food, design, and experiential dining.

  • Familiarity with NYC food service regulations and health department standards.

  • Flexible schedule — availability for weekends, events, and variable pop-up timelines.
