Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on chef and an inspiring mentor — someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, brings exceptional organization to high-volume event production, and consistently delivers excellence on the plate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu development, production, and plating for off-site events and tastings.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Creative Director to design seasonal menus aligned with Maison Tara’s brand and clientele.

  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and respect.

  • Manage food costing, inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Maintain rigorous standards of food safety, cleanliness, and presentation.

  • Execute events both in-house and off-site, ensuring seamless coordination with the service and logistics teams.

  • Continuously innovate — bringing new ideas, techniques, and inspiration to the table.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of professional culinary experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role

  • Background in fine dining or high-end catering required.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Deep understanding of seasonal and sustainable sourcing.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing event demands.

  • Culinary degree preferred, but not required with equivalent experience.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($25.00 - $30.00) plus tips
