A new pub is looking for experienced Front of House staff to join our opening team! We are located in Lincoln Square and will be offering bar service for our cocktail, beer, and kitchen menus. For our opening we are looking to put together a team of people with positive attitudes who will work together to execute warm and smooth services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous hospitality experience in a casual bar or restaurant setting as a Bartender or Server
- Working knowledge of beers, spirits, and classic cocktails
- Strong communication and guest engagement skills
- Positive attitude - we are looking to cultivate a warm neighborhood pub atmosphere and having people with good energy behind the bar and on the floor is an important part of that
- BASSET and Food Handler certifications required within 30 days of hire
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
- Greeting all guests who enter the Pub.
- Presenting menus to guests and being able to answer questions about our menus
- Run food and drinks to guests with concise, informed descriptions
- Complete sidework: stocking guest service stations, taking out trash and recycling, cleaning tasks as assigned to keep the bar and front of house ready for guests
WHEN YOU’RE BEHIND THE BAR:
- Guide guests through food and beverage selection.
- Confirm order, take payments/start tabs.
- Prepare beverages quickly and accurately according to our standard builds
- Skilled at serving the bartop in addition to handling food and beverage orders for the rest of the pub
- Keep eyes on the floor to bus/assist your coworkers as needed.
- Bar prep, including cutting citrus and preparing cocktail batches
- Stocking bar
WHEN YOU’RE ON THE FLOOR:
- Jump behind bar to assist taking orders during busy times
- Able assist with basic beverage preparation (N/A items, pouring beer, basic call cocktails)
- Deliver food and drinks to guest as they are prepared
- Keep tables and guests areas clean and restocked
- Package takeout orders
