A Private Events Manager will boost and drive the proactive event sales. Your role will be integral to creating new client relationships, assisting with responsibilities to boost sales efforts along with overseeing and planning for the private dining bookings. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual looking to gain experience in the event industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through research, contacts, appointments, and networking. Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Conduct regular site visits with potential clients.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets and drive new private dining business growth with an emphasis on new revenue streams.
- Collaborate with marketing and promotional efforts to raise awareness and generate interest in the private dining offerings.
- Plan, organize and assist with execution of events including communication with clients, handling contracts, creating Banquet Event Orders, communication with internal departments and assist with on site events.
- Work cohesively with restaurant departments to ensure successful completion of events and sales strategies.
- Correspond with guests and clients and initiate on-going written correspondence with regulars and new guests to acknowledge appreciation of business and special events.
- Assist Events team with assuring that guest service meets or exceeds our standards during all events.
- Maintain accurate and up to date correspondence of private dining bookings, contracts, and client information.
Job Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
- 2-3 years of experience customer service experience (hospitality preferred)
- Computer literacy
- Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Experience in event planning
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work long hours and a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00)
