Empowered Hospitality is on the lookout for a rockstar General Manager for one of our fantastic quick service restaurant (QSR) clients located in New York City!
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service. The General Manager will be responsible for creating a positive dining experience for our guests while effectively managing the team.
JOB OVERVIEW
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train, develop, and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste.
- Oversee cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to maintain high standards of food production and presentation.
- Implement training programs focused on food handling, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and effective communication among staff.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience in management or a similar supervisory role within the food industry.
- Strong background in food service management with knowledge of culinary practices.
- Experience with quick service restaurants and fast casual restaurants establishments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff training & development.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
