Maitre D

We are a vibrant Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of Fort Greene. Our guests come from as close as next door and as far as across the country. We are honored to have served the Fort Greene community for 8 years. We have a small and carefully chosen team, and seek candidates who are serious about hospitality. 

 

Our ideal candidate has experience using Resy and has previously worked as a maitre'd in a high volume restaurant with significant walk in and waitlist covers. However, we are open to training the right candidate with professional experience that they believe would translate well into the role. This is not an entry level position and some previous work experience is required in restaurants or another customer facing industry.

• Willingness to jump in and assist with additional duties when needed (bussing tables, greeting guests, running food)
• Experience with a fast-paced or high volume setting
• A desire to advocate on behalf of the guest as well as notice and pursue when a guest is dissatisfied

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 7 hours]
• Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily 
• Be comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs, and moving. 
• Be comfortable walking up and down stairs frequently, including while carrying large containers
