Looking for line chefs for a non-traditional Malaysian restaurant in Greenpoint. If you have some skills and are looking to learn a thing or two, or need an outlet for the flavors you grew up eating (doesn't have to be Asian), we're interested.
We're looking for:
- 1-3 years of culinary / food and beverage line position.
- Good knife skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for learning, passion for cooking.
- Someone who leaves ego out of the workplace, is ready to support others and to be supported by their team.
- A person who takes instruction and executes direction faithfully.
- Clean and fastidious to a fault.
- You will have to carry heavy things (30+ pounds)
- Familiarity with Malaysian or southeast asian flavors a big plus.
- Wok skills a big, big plus.
- Full availability, 8-10 hour shifts.
