We are seeking a skilled and passionate hospitality professional to join our team as Sommelier. This role requires someone who can seamlessly balance exceptional tableside service with expert wine knowledge. The ideal candidate will be able to provide warm and attentive service as well as knowledgeable and confident beverage recommendations as a sommelier under the direction of our Beverage Director, Thomas Renshaw.

Sommelier Duties:

  • Extensive knowledge of all wines by the glass, beverage pairings, low-proof cocktails, and zero-proof offerings, with the ability to guide guests' selections
  • Knowledge of regions, producers, bottles, and vintages represented on the list
  • Receiving and stocking beverage orders
  • Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly service throughout the guest experience.
  • Uphold service standards, timing, and presentation.
  • Maintain poise under pressure
  • Effectively manage multiple tables

Arquet is a new, ingredient-driven California restaurant newly open in San Francisco’s Ferry Building, from the team behind Michelin-starred Sorrel. This large-format lunch and dinner concept features wood-fired cooking, seasonal locally sourced produce from the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, and a refined yet casual waterfront dining experience. We focus on cultivating an environment where our guests feel like they are a part of something memorable. To accomplish this, we make sure that service is fun, soulful, and personal, yet take care that we are serious about executing a phenomenal dining experience. We are looking for a leader to join our team that will continue to find new ways to innovate and improve the experience at Arquet for guests and staff alike.
