Job Details

Line Cooks work at Leon's in a high-energy environment to prepare and cook food to the restaurant’s high standards. You will be responsible for ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency, while collaborating with the kitchen team to maintain a seamless flow of service. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen's smooth operation, ensuring that dishes meet customer expectations.

 

Responsibilities include:

Prepare mise en place, cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes
Must be able to set up their respective stations in a timely manner
Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment
Must be able to adapt to any additional tasks as assigned by the station lead, sous-chef, or executive chef
Must know and uphold DOH standards
During service, efficiently receive and fulfill ticket orders from the Chef/Expeditor
Execute assigned station dishes to meet standards. Includes grilling, saute, pasta-cooking and vegetable-focused preparations
Handle Special Requests: Accommodate any guest allergies, dietary restrictions, or special requests, working closely with the chef and service team
Inventory & Supplies: Assist with inventory checks and notify the kitchen manager when supplies are running low
Prepare staff meal
Assist with training new team member

Ideal Candidates:
*Have excellent knife skills.
*Have knowledge of cooking procedures, safety and sanitation.
*Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen.
*Are able to lift 25 lbs or more.
*Prepare and execute key components of dishes.
*Ensure quality and accuracy of products and dishes.
*Support their fellow cooks.

*Culinary Education: Formal culinary training is a plus, but not required.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $25.00)
