Altro Paradiso is looking for a Full-Time Receiver. 
 

From globally acclaimed chef Ignacio Mattos, Altro Paradiso is an Italian restaurant in the heart of SoHo and an essential New York City dining destination. 

Cafe Altro Paradiso is now seeking an experienced Receiver 
to join our team.

The Receiver plays a vital role in supporting daily restaurant operations by ensuring all deliveries are accurately received, checked, and organized. This position works closely with the culinary and management teams to maintain efficient inventory systems and uphold company standards for quality and safety.

Morning and weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect all incoming orders for accuracy, quality, and freshness.

  • Verify invoices against deliveries and communicate any discrepancies promptly.

  • Organize, label, and store products following company procedures and Department of Health standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and order in storage areas, walk-ins, and delivery zones.

  • Track inventory levels and assist with daily or weekly counts as needed.

  • Coordinate with chefs and managers to ensure all products are available for service.

Service Standards

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety throughout all storage areas.

  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and inventory control systems.

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and management teams to support smooth operations.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands  

  • The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($21.00 - $23.00)
