Job Summary:

Join our team as an Executive Chef at our upcoming Greek Bistro in Washington D.C.'s vibrant Dupont Circle neighborhood! We're seeking a seasoned culinary leader to helm our kitchen, drive menu innovation, and foster a culture of excellence. As our Executive Chef, you'll oversee kitchen operations, mentor a talented team, and deliver unforgettable dining experiences that showcase the bold flavors and traditions of Greek cuisine. Responsibilities:

  • Craft and execute menus that blend traditional Greek flavors with modern twists and creative presentation
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to achieve culinary excellence
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation in our kitchen
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to optimize profitability
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to develop new dishes, menus, and specials
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation
  • Develop and implement menu pricing strategies that balance quality and profitability
  • Represent our bistro at food festivals, catering events, and other culinary events
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or fine dining establishment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of menu development, kitchen management, and team leadership
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Familiarity with inventory management and cost control principles

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $100,000.00)
