Oscar Wilde — one of New York City’s most iconic and lively bars — is looking for a Maître D’ to join our team for the busy season.

We’re seeking someone with a bright, welcoming personality and a strong hospitality-first attitude — someone who makes every guest feel seen, appreciated, and taken care of from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting guests warmly and managing the flow at the entrance and outdoor line
• Escorting guests to the bar or finding available seats for walk-ins and large groups
• Monitoring the floor to identify open tables and no-shows, assisting in efficient seating
• Supporting the host team to ensure reservations are honored and walk-ins are accommodated smoothly
• Maintaining a calm, friendly, and professional presence at all times

Ideal Candidate:

• Full-time availability (seasonal position)
• Energetic, positive, and approachable
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Previous experience in a high-volume NYC restaurant or bar preferred
• Team-oriented and guest-focused
