Kyma Terrazza HIRING SOUS CHEF

We are seeking a talented Sous Chef with a background sushi-Japanese cuisine and global cuisine. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has experience in high-end restaurants or a luxury Michelin-starred restaurant, and demonstrates strong leadership skills while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Responsibility ;

  • Following the Executive chef directions and supporting all his needs. The Sous Chef is second in command, responsible for executing the Executive Chef vision and managing daily kitchen operations.
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistent, exceptional results
  • Ensure flawless execution of sushi, crudos, tapaz, meze and global cuisine offerings
  • Maintain strict attention to detailing presentation and preparation
  • Ensure the items prepared are always of the highest quality and taste
  • Monitor food cost, inventory and waste control with strong financial discipline
  • Uphold precision in timing, consistency, and overall kitchen operation
  • Recommend/present and collaborate new menu item to the Executive Chef utilizing research on new or local products, trends, and guest requests which deliver on financial target and quality expectation
  • Complete all cleaning schedules, temperature records, opening and closing checklists daily
  • Top level of clean and safe work environment by ensuring all safety, health, and food handling standard are followed
  • Attend department meetings and training as necessary
  • Any other duty as assigned

Qualification;

  • Proven expertise in sushi and Japanese, crudos, tapaz, meze and global cuisine
  • Experience in fine dining / luxury restaurant environments
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent to detail and ability to execute under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food cost control, and kitchen efficiency

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $85,000.00)
