Red hot Emmett’s on Grove is looking to hire a lead line cook to support our Chef leading the back of house team.

Emmett’s on Grove is a midwest inspired supper club specializing in tavern style pizza following the success of its original Soho institution, Emmett's. Taking inspiration from the South of France to the North woods of Wisconsin - Emmett’s on Grove celebrates the spirit of a classic American Tavern with European influences. Serving Italian American favorites alongside an extensive wine list featuring top producers and domaines from around the world, Emmett’s on Grove offers all the fun you would want from a neighborhood restaurant with an elevated experience you would hope for from a top New York dining destination.

 Competencies & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of kitchen experience in a high-volume or fine dining environment
• Willingness to learn what you don’t know and agility to support colleagues
• Cool, positive demeanor and professional composure
• Demonstrated interest in the culinary industry
• Ability to engage fellow staff successfully, build a relationship, and create a warm and welcoming environment
• Care for properly executed service and food with high quality
• Care for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and BOH space
• Experience with brunch, pastas, sautee, grill (temps) is a plus

Compensation:

• $23/hr starting wage

• PTO after 6 months of employment
• Upward mobility with an expanding business: fast promotion potential to Junior Sous role for high-performing Cooks.
