Support Staff

Enswell is hiring a part-time support staff person to work weekend evenings.

Enswell is an all-day restaurant with a full kitchen, cafe, comprehensive cocktail menu, and bottleshop. Owned and operated by Rival Bros Coffee Roasters, Enswell opened in 2023 in the space of a previous Rival Bros cafe on Spruce Street. The restaurant brings together many different passions and services under one roof; Enswell aims to be a place where one might have a phenomenal cup of coffee right next to another enjoying a craft cocktail or upscale meal. 

We are looking for applicants who are interested in supporting our front of house by bringing their hosting experience to daily operations. Enswell hosts take ownership over the front door and welcoming and seating of guests. There is a mandate of being helpful and supporting the general front of house needs during all services which is outlined below. We are a small space so we must work together to deliver a superior experience. 

Essential Support Job Duties:

• Support and work with all FOH staff through service to create a strong teamwork atmosphere
• Wash, dry, and polish all glassware, restocking each storage station as needed
• Drying and polishing all silverware and restocking server station as needed
• Run food to tables and explain each dish being delivered
• Have a clear understanding of all restaurant items and a willingness to help customers understand Enswell. Answer any guest questions about food, drinks, or retail  
• Assist in keeping the dining room, bar, cafe, and patio clean, organized, and running
• Assist servers in pre-busing tables, refilling guest water, and refreshing table settings, and more
• Assisting with private events
• Fill evening cafe orders including making of coffee and tea drinks
• Break down cafe at end of evening including washing coffee pots, cleaning espresso machine, and more
• Take down dirty linens and change out trash cans at the end of shift
• Assist bartenders with breakdown including washing of bar tools, etc. 
• Communicate with staff and managers to keep the work environment functioning smoothly
• Set up and break down host station for service including assigning table sections on ipad and setting out menus
• Complete all side work before the end of a shift
• Assist with receiving of orders into bar, cafe, and restaurant 
• Complete requests for assistance from leadership team 

Enswell’s Expectations: 

• Attend scheduled shifts on time and in accordance with dress code and appearance guidelines
• Strong knowledge of products sold in retail bottle shop and retail coffee beans 
• Availability to work busiest restaurant shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays 

Physical Demands:

• This position will require the employee to periodically lift, push, pull or carry items up to 50 lbs in weight (putting away deliveries of boxes, cold brew kegs, outdoor furniture)
• This position requires the employee to stand for extended periods of time 
• This position will require the employee to periodically climb stairs, ramps or uneven surfaces
