Job Details

We’re looking for an experienced and service-driven Assistant General Manager to help lead our dynamic hospitality team. The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to uphold our service standards, mentor team members, oversee daily operations, and ensure financial success while maintaining a fun and memorable guest experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role with a rotating five services/week alternating with four services and one admin day, plus monthly inventory oversight with management staff.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Lead by example — actively drive a culture of hospitality and mentorship.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring completion of all side work and team readiness.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to elevate guest experiences and create memorable hospitality moments.
  • Own monthly inventory process with management staff, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Work a flexible schedule alternating between 5 service shifts/week and 4 service shifts plus 1 admin day, maintaining consistent operational presence.
  • Partner with the General Manager on HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Strategize to ensure profitability, with quality and community as central values.
  • Oversee private and semi-private events, ensuring seamless execution and accurate billing.
  • Manage the daily workflow including scheduling, shift coverage, service quality, and tip share.
  • Develop and coach team members to reach both short- and long-term goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager and ownership.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Warm, personable, and genuinely service-minded.
  • A hands-on leader who leads from the floor, not behind a desk.
  • Emotionally intelligent and relationship-driven.
  • A collaborator who thrives in a team setting and works toward collective success.
  • Energetic and passionate about creating a fun, welcoming environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong service background — you understand both the feel and flow of hospitality.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated, capable of navigating ambiguity and building structure where needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Clear and effective communicator — listens, speaks, and writes with intention.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to connect with and coach others.
  • Skilled in interpersonal relationships and team dynamics.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Confident in delegating and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable using G Suite, scheduling software, TOAST POS, and OpenTable.
  • Banquet or conference F&B execution a plus.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage management experience.
  • Experience managing or supporting events highly desirable.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be able to bend, push, pull, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently up to 20 lbs.
  • Weekend and holiday availability required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve), with flexibility to take one of the three off or adjust schedule to accommodate all.
