Assistant Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food and drink quality. This position requires a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system efficiently for cash handling and customer transactions.
• Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, making specialty coffee drinks.
• Collaborate with management on shift management tasks to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cafe/restaurant FOH setting for at least two years, server experience a plus.
• Must be proficient in making all coffee bar drinks.
• Background in food service management or hospitality management is beneficial.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership capabilities when necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests.
