Altro Paradiso is looking for a AM Prep Cook
 

From globally acclaimed chef Ignacio Mattos, Altro Paradiso is an Italian restaurant in the heart of SoHo and an essential New York City dining destination. 

Cafe Altro Paradiso is now seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Prep Cook to add to our team.

A Pre Cook supports the culinary team by ensuring all mise en place and prep work are completed efficiently and accurately before service. They will follow company recipes and standards to prepare ingredients, sauces, and components essential for each station.

Morning and weekend availability is required. 

Service Standards

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety throughout the kitchen.

  • Follow all company recipes, policies, and procedures with precision.

  • Comply with all Department of Health standards and food handling regulations.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and chefs to ensure smooth service preparation.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands  

  • The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $23.00)
