Pastry Assistant

Bloomsday Café and Loretta’s Café are two beloved Philadelphia spots known for great food, welcoming hospitality, and neighborhood spirit. Our shared bakery program focuses on high-quality ingredients, seasonal flavors, and beautifully crafted pastries and breads that complement each café’s unique menu.

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a part-time, entry-level baker to join our bakery team supporting both Bloomsday and Loretta’s. This role is ideal for someone who loves early mornings, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to grow their skills in a creative, collaborative environment

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily production of assorted pastries, cookies, scones, poptarts and other baked goods for both cafés
• Prepare and scale doughs, batters, fillings, and toppings according to established recipes
• Bake off and finish items for morning service
• Label, organize, and rotate ingredients and finished products
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
• Support special orders and seasonal menu prep as needed
