The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Server who is highly organized to work with our F&B team and create a memorable guest experience.

Key accountabilities

• Responsible for activities related to service of the restaurant, which includes preparation tasks, training and performing service as per standards set by the hotel.
• Perform a friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: Greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
• Perform pre-service and after-service procedures as per standards.
• Understand and accurately follow the Peninsula, Forbes, LQA and Coyle standards and sequences of service.
• Ensure a consistency of the correct service techniques for all meal periods.
• Have complete understanding of all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
• Explain all food and beverage menus listed on the menu in details.

General requirements 

• Basic restaurant operation knowledge 
• Minimum of 2-year experience in a hospitality service field
• Wine knowledge preferred
• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
