Reserve Cut is hiring an experienced Host/Hostess with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.
Position Summary :
The Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming/greeting guests to the restaurant and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. The Host duties include maintaining a waitlist of guests during service, distributing menus, confirming restaurant contact information to guests, accepting phone calls, making and adjusting reservations. As well as working with the service team to ensure the restaurant is seated in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups.
- Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.
- Takes names on a waiting list.
- Runs the floor plan board.
- Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
- Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
- Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at the host area.
- Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
- Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred but not required
- Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
- Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.
- Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
- Proficient or ability to learn computer skills including POS systems, Resy, OpenTable, Word and Excel.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
