FOH Café Team Lead is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, exceptional guest experiences, and efficient coordination between staff and management. This role combines leadership, customer service, and operational management within a café or coffee shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Experience
- Greet and engage customers, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor service quality and ensure consistency in customer interactions.
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise and motivate front-of-house staff, including CAFE ASSOCIATES: baristas, servers, and cashiers.
- Train new employees on service standards, POS systems, and café procedures.
- Schedule shifts and manage daily staffing needs to maintain efficiency.
3. Operations Management
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring all checklists are completed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including dining and service areas.
- Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and coordinate with the kitchen or management for restocking.
4. Sales and Financial Duties
- Handle cash management, including balancing tills and preparing daily sales reports.
- Promote menu items, specials, and loyalty programs to increase sales.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
