Assistant General Manager

Buddakan, the iconic New York dining institution in the heart of the Meatpacking District, is seeking a passionate Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team.

We’re looking for a business-savvy, service-driven professional with exceptional operational knowledge and an inspiring leadership style — someone eager to contribute to Buddakan’s next exciting chapter: a collaboration with Chef Danny Bowien, the trailblazing force behind Mission Chinese.

As Assistant General Manager, you’ll partner closely with the General Manager and senior leadership to ensure that every guest experience reflects Buddakan’s signature blend of energy, excellence, and hospitality. You’ll play a key role in mentoring managers and staff, driving operational success, and helping to execute strategic initiatives that elevate service, profitability, and team culture.

What We Offer

• Competitive base salary: $100,000–$115,000

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of progressive restaurant management experience in an upscale or fine dining environment
• Track record of building engaged high-performing teams through strong leadership and mentorship
• Deep knowledge of hospitality operations, guest relations, and service excellence
• A calm, confident presence with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team development
