Assistant Manager

The River Café is seeking an Assistant Manager to join an experienced restaurant team.

The River Café is a fine dining restaurant located beneath the Brooklyn Bridge in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The restaurant continues to be celebrated for over four decades for its culinary attributes and exceptional wine program.

As a DINING ROOM MANAGER at The River Café, you will be responsible but not limited to executing the following duties:

• Work directly with the Chef and General Manager to implement restaurant standards.
• Train and oversee the dining room team.
• Collaborate with the Maître D’ to oversee all aspects of service in the dining room and bar.
• Enforce dining room staff’s uniform and appearance.
• Engage in pre-shift meetings with enhancements to points of service.

Qualifications

• Fine dining and management experience required.
• Strong understanding of the fine dining culture and NYC fine dining restaurants.
• Proficient in Micros, OpenTable and Microsoft Office 360.
