Position Overview: We're seeking reliable, hardworking team members to support our kitchen operations. This is a versatile role that includes food preparation, cooking, dishwashing, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Prepare ingredients for paninis, salads, bowls, and other menu items
- Cook and assemble menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Grill paninis and flatbreads to order
- Prepare salads, bowls, and avocado toast with attention to presentation
- Ensure food is prepared safely and served at proper temperatures
- Follow portion control guidelines to maintain consistency and manage costs
- Assist with prepping pastries and other baked goods for service
Dishwashing & Sanitation:
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment properly
- Sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and food prep areas
- Maintain organization of clean dishes and kitchen supplies
- Empty trash and recycling throughout shift
- Deep clean kitchen equipment and facilities as scheduled
Kitchen Support:
- Keep kitchen organized and well-stocked during service
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management
- Receive and properly store food deliveries
- Maintain proper food storage and labeling procedures
- Support front-of-house staff during busy periods
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Follow all health and safety regulations
General Cleanliness:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, counters, and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas when needed (wiping tables, sweeping)
- Keep dish pit and back-of-house areas organized and clean
- Follow proper waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Report maintenance issues or equipment problems to management
Required Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food service experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Comfortable working around hot equipment and kitchen tools
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Food handler's certificate (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of kitchen or food prep experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Experience with grills, ovens, and commercial kitchen equipment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Schedule: Part-time or Full-time position, approximately 20-30 hours per week Shifts available: Morning (7am-12pm) and Afternoon (12pm-5pm) Weekend availability required

Physical Requirements:
