Barista

Position Overview: We're seeking friendly, energetic baristas who are passionate about coffee and enjoy working in a family-friendly environment. This role combines excellent beverage preparation with outstanding customer service in our vibrant café setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, drip coffee, cold brew, and specialty beverages (matcha lattes, chai lattes, etc.)
• Operate and maintain espresso equipment according to brand standards
• Take orders and process payments accurately using our POS system
• Provide warm, welcoming service to families and create a positive café experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and seating areas
• Prepare light food items including pastries, paninis, and salads as needed
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
• Follow health and safety guidelines, especially in a family environment
• Assist with opening and closing procedures

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of barista or café experience preferred
• Knowledge of espresso preparation and latte art
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, patient demeanor
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends
• Food handler's certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Schedule: Part-time position, approximately 20-30 hours per week Shifts available: Morning (7am-12pm) and Afternoon (12pm-5pm) Weekend availability required

Compensation: $16-18/hour plus tips, depending on experience. Employee discounts on food and beverages
