Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations from our wine and cocktail list
- Engage warmly with guests at the bar and dining room
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Handle cash and card transactions via POS system
- Collaborate with servers and management to ensure smooth service
- Monitor guest intoxication and adhere to all alcohol service laws
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bartending experience in a full-service or upscale restaurant
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, and wine
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Must be 21+ and eligible to serve alcohol in Illinois
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Familiarity with POS systems (Toast or similar a plus)
