We are accepting applications for the bartender position at Sabai Thai Restaurant.
Job Responsibilities:
- To provide guests with an excellent and memorable experience at our full-service bar, always providing great customer service and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- To prepare drink orders for guests dining in the restaurant.
- To responsibly serve alcoholic beverages.
- To be warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and appreciative.
- To be able to tailor each guests’ bar experience sincerely.
- To have full knowledge of the food and drink menu including ingredients, preparation and cooking methods, flavor profiles, etc.
- To be able to describe, recommend and sell food and drinks that you genuinely feel guests will enjoy.
- To be able to create relevant and creative beverages based on guest and management requests and recommendations.
- To confidently and correctly use POS system for order entry and payment processing.
- To perform all opening and closing side-work to maintain an organized, stocked and clean bar.
- To maintain the highest quality standards according to our company policies and to NYC health and safety regulations.
- To demonstrate knowledge and expertise for opening and serving wine.
- To demonstrate ability and expertise in making and serving cocktails.
- To act professional and be presentable.
- To work well in a fast-paced environment as a member of our team.
- To proactively communicate with managers to address any potential complaints or negative experiences.
- To anticipate guest’s needs before acknowledged or asked.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of bartending experience in an establishment of similar standards.
- Must have strong food, wine and cocktail knowledge.
- Attentive and proactive.
- Custom service oriented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, dependable and punctual!
- Attention to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Flexible/open availability.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($11.00) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $1,000
