Bar Parisette is a neighborhood bistro in Logan Square. Our menu takes cues from the neo-bistros of Paris, as well as Midwest seasonality. Our beverage program has a strong focus on small production wines and an emphasis on food-friendly, classic and modern cocktails, with an extensive wine bottle list that offers exceptional value. At this time, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated lead bartender to join our team.
This role is an hourly bartender role but will also assist management with ordering and receiving, bar organization and cleanliness, updating the wine cellar, and cocktail menu development as needed. Compensation for this will be at a significantly higher hourly wage for those hours based on experience.
Candidates with a strong interest in wine will be prioritized, but we are always willing to train the right person.

Job Duties:
- Actively support a cohesive, collaborative relationship between all FOH and BOH team members
- Provide a high-quality, tailored service experience while maintaining a comfortable environment for all guests at the bar
- Communicate ordering needs to management weekly
- Assist with receiving orders, organization, and take lead on bar maintenance and standards
- Serve as a key-holder and be responsible for cash handling at the end of the shift
- Responsible for checking out servers and closing down/locking the restaurant
- Respond appropriately to guest requests, questions, and concerns
- Communicate effectively with all team members
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, including ongoing knowledge of an evolving wine list
- Complete all side work in an efficient manner
- Comply with all health department requirements
Other:
- Must hold a current Food Handler Permit and Basset certification from an accredited organization or be able to acquire one within a month
- Flexible hours are required (nights, weekends, and holidays)
- This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
