Pizza Chef / Pizzaiolo (Salary-Based)

Located in the heart of Nomad, ZOI Mediterranean brings a refined yet approachable Mediterranean dining experience to New York City. We take pride in combining traditional techniques with modern execution, and we are currently seeking a talented Pizza Chef to join our culinary team.

We are hiring a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef / Pizzaiolo who specializes in hand-crafted, high-quality pizzas. This is a salaried position (no tips), ideal for a professional looking for consistency, growth, and a serious kitchen environment.

• Prepare and cook pizzas to order using traditional techniques

• Stretch and shape dough by hand, ensuring consistency and texture

• Monitor fermentation and dough hydration daily

• Operate and maintain pizza oven (gas or wood-fired)

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of station

• Ensure all food safety and health code standards are met

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team

• Minimum 3 years of pizza-making experience

• Strong knowledge of dough making and fermentation

• Experience with high-heat ovens (gas)

• Ability to multitask in a high-volume kitchen

• Reliable, organized, and team-oriented

• Passion for Mediterranean cuisine is a plus
