Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and performing basic cooking tasks to support chefs and ensure the kitchen runs efficiently. This is a crucial role for maintaining high food quality and kitchen organization.
Key Responsibilities:-
Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits

Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items

Prepare meats and seafood by cleaning, deboning, cutting, or grinding as needed

Assist with basic cooking such as sauces, dressings, and side items

Label and stock all ingredients on shelves to ensure they are organized and easily accessible

Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
-
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
-
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with additional tasks as needed

Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the Kitchen Manager or Chef

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous kitchen or food prep experience is a plus but not required

Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and tools

Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays

Fast-paced kitchen environment

Exposure to heat, sharp tools, and cleaning chemicals

Team-oriented with a strong emphasis on cleanliness and efficiency
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $22.00)
