Bar Etoile is a neighborhood French-inspired California bistro from Julian Kurland, Jill Bernheimer, and Chef Travis Hayden (formerly of Rustic Canyon & VooDoo Vin). We are serving an American menu rooted in classic French cuisine inspired by local southern California produce.
We are currently looking to hire a part time SERVER to join our team.
Candidates should have prior experience in full service restaurants. Fine dining experience is not a requirement, but is helpful. We are looking for candidates with attention to detail, ability to work with a team, a sense of urgency and most importantly, a positive attitude. Responsibilities:
- Maintain food handling procedures outlined by the front of house management team and SafeServe guidelines
- Thorough knowledge of menu descriptions and ingredients
- An unwavering commitment to excellence in hospitality
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with your peers
- Understanding of dining room and kitchen operations
- Implementation of service standards and systems
- Ensure guest satisfaction upon the entrance of our restaurant to their exit
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Maintaining an incredibly organized work and storage areas with the ability to lift all required products at a minimum of 25lbs.
- Maintaining a safe and positive work environment
- Maintaining cleanly personal hygiene in and out of the workplace
- Consistent and punctual attendance
