Porter

Patisserie Vanessa is looking for a motivated, reliable individual to join us as our Morning Porter! 

• Assist BOH and FOH in all aspects of facility maintenance including (but not limited to) bussing tables, washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors (customer area and kitchen/production areas), deep cleaning equipment, removing waste, and receiving and storing deliveries.
• Clean and maintain workspaces, customer area and storefront throughout the shift (including sanitizing counters, food preparation areas, sweeping floors and sidewalk, mopping, emptying trash, bathrooms, dusting etc.)
• Wash, sanitize, and restock dishes, trays, baking tools, and other supplies in an organized fashion
• Set up sidewalk furniture and assist with bakery opening procedures
• Handle weekly trip to off site storage
• Learn and retain standard operating procedures for all porter duties while following a timeline and cleaning project schedule. 
• Follow additional tasks as instructed by managers

• Relevant prior experience as a porter is required
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Able to multitask
• Capacity to excel on a team or work independently.
• Able to work early mornings, holidays and weekends.
• Able to work on your feet for a 4+ hour shift and lift 50+ lbs occasionally 
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment

Skills & Requirements:

       Relevant prior experience as a porter is required

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Ability to multitask.
• Capacity to excel on a team or work independently.
• Ability to work early mornings, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to work on your feet for a full shift and lift 50+ lbs during the shift
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment
