Floor Manager – Kouklas Greek Eatery (Niles, IL)

Kouklas Greek Eatery is a chef-driven, contemporary Greek restaurant rooted in warm hospitality, exceptional food, and genuine connection. We are seeking an experienced Floor Manager to join our opening team and help lead front-of-house operations as we prepare to open in Niles, IL.

The restaurant will open with dinner service only, transitioning into lunch and dinner service after the first few months.
Position Summary
The Floor Manager will oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service, strong communication between the kitchen and floor, and a consistent standard of hospitality. This person will work closely with ownership, the general manager, and the chef team to train, motivate, and lead staff while maintaining the integrity of the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support all front-of-house staff during service.

Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate menu changes, specials, and key details.

Maintain an upbeat, professional presence on the floor to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Assist in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training.

Monitor guest feedback, resolve issues calmly and effectively, and uphold service standards.

Collaborate with the chef and bar teams to coordinate timing and flow of service.

Ensure opening and closing duties are executed properly each shift.

Oversee cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the dining room and bar areas.

Enforce compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations.
Qualifications

Minimum 2–3 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience in a full-service, high-volume setting.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team.

Deep passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Hands-on approach and ability to lead by example.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Familiarity with Greek or Mediterranean cuisine is a plus, but not required.
