Award Winning Ai Fiori, from famed hospitality firm Altamarea Group and located at the Langham New York Hotel, is looking for an energetic and fun-loving porter/dishwasher to join the team. Ai Fiori showcases modern interpretations of cuisine from the French and Italian Riviera and offers employees the opportunity to work with quality Italian cuisine & industry-leading chefs, a respectful, safe, professional work environment, and a culinary team uniquely invested in the growth and success of all team members.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as a key member of kitchen and BOH team
• Wash and sanitize all restaurant wares (china, glassware, utensils, cookware) in a clean, efficient, and organized manner
• Always maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, including but not limited to dining spaces, bathrooms, kitchen equipment, and surfaces
• Operate dishwasher machine and waste storage and removal equipment, as well as handle cleaning chemicals and other related supplies in a proper and safe manner
• Support other areas of the kitchen as needed, and be able and willing to assist other areas of the kitchen and restaurant (i.e., prep, deep cleaning)
• Follow internal and regulatory (health, fire department, etc.) guidelines at all times

Requirements include:

• Some relevant restaurants experience preferred but not required
• Highly organized, productive, and able to work meticulously in a high-intensity kitchen/work environment
• Energetic and friendly personality, with strong willingness and ability to work as part of a cohesive team and support colleagues regardless of role
• Broad and flexible availability to work
• Physical requirements include the ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 35lbs, and to stand, walk up and downstairs, and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time
