Position Overview

We are seeking a Reservations & Office Manager to lead our reservation operations and provide vital administrative support to the General Manager and leadership team. This position is key to ensuring the seamless coordination of guest bookings, private dining inquiries, and day-to-day office functions—upholding the standard of excellence that defines Sempre Oggi.

Key Responsibilities

Reservations Management

  • Oversee the restaurant’s reservation platform (SevenRooms, Resy, or OpenTable) with precision and efficiency

  • Manage guest bookings, noting special requests, dietary needs, and VIP profiles

  • Coordinate private dining and large-party inquiries with FOH leadership and events teams

  • Optimize table flow, minimize no-shows, and maintain a strategic seating plan

  • Build and maintain a detailed guest database to support personalized service

Guest Relations

  • Provide polished, concierge-style service across phone, email, and online inquiries

  • Handle guest requests or concerns with discretion, empathy, and professionalism

  • Serve as the communication bridge between guests and the FOH team to ensure seamless experiences

Administrative Support

  • Support the General Manager with document preparation, reporting, and correspondence

  • Organize meetings, manage schedules, and track departmental initiatives

  • Maintain organized records of vendor correspondence, guest feedback, and internal documentation

  • Liaise with vendors, marketing, and event partners as directed

Systems & Training

  • Ensure all reservation and communication systems are operating effectively

  • Train FOH staff on reservation and guest communication protocols

  • Collaborate on special events, seasonal menus, and promotional bookings

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in reservations or administrative management within fine dining or luxury hospitality

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized with strong multitasking ability and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in reservation systems (SevenRooms, Resy, OpenTable) and office tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office)

  • Professional demeanor and discretion in handling sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting hospitality leadership teams

  • Familiarity with private dining coordination and guest profile management

  • Understanding of fine dining service standards and guest experience culture

Sempre Oggi, directly translated as ‘Always Today’, is a modern Italian restaurant brought forth by Robert Guarino and Simon Oren of the Chef Driven group. Described by Robert as “ a recreation of your very chic friend's home in Milan” the restaurant design draws much inspiration from Gio Ponti, the great Italian architect & designer. The design is modernist while maintaining a respect for
history & tradition. Existing white columns in the space have been enveloped with mirrors and
their corners bound to the floor in grey cement. Lighting is suspended throughout the space,
floating within custom maple-tinted, light transmissive plastic. The bar showcases more
inspiration from Ponti’s later career. Mimicking hundreds of tiles motifs he collaborated on with
Ceramica D’Agostino throughout the world, custom hand laid colored tiles in an abundance of
colors flood the wall and emerge onto the ceiling. Illuminated shelving with rounded corners
and no backs are reminiscent of Ponti’s love for playing with light and colors to the eye.

Our Executive Chef Phillip Basone’s menu is a recreation of memories and fondness of Italian cuisine. With a firm belief that living life always for today requires leaving a better tomorrow, Basone reinterprets classic Italian dishes with a strong understanding of seasonality in New York and respect for local ingredients, while always keeping tradition and authenticity in mind. Best represented in the VERDURE DI OGGI section, vegetables play center stage and will be ever evolving, rotating and changing based on availability, and frankly, whatever is most delicious that day.
