We are seeking passionate and hospitality-driven individuals to join our team in an elevated, Upscale environment. We are currently hiring for a variety of Front of House (FOH)  and Back of house (BOH) positions. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to creating memorable guest experiences.

Position Summary

The Runner is responsible for the efficient and accurate delivery of kitchen items from the line to guests in the dining room. This role plays a critical part in the kitchen-to-table flow, including managing the expo station, preparing sauces and garnishes, and ensuring quality control for all dishes before they are delivered. The Runner contributes significantly to guest satisfaction by ensuring timely service, accurate order delivery, and a thorough understanding of all menu items, including food allergies.

About You:

  • Efficient & Detail-Oriented: You are highly organized, can manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, and pay close attention to the quality and accuracy of every dish, including all components and garnishes.

  • Team Player: You work seamlessly with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth food delivery and operational flow.

  • Knowledgeable & Prepared: You are eager to learn and master the menu, including dish components, preparations, and critical knowledge of all food allergies, to confidently expo dishes and answer guest questions.

  • Proactive & Responsive: You anticipate needs at the expo station and in the dining room, and respond quickly to ensure timely service and support.

  • Physically Capable: You possess the physical stamina required to carry heavy trays and stand for extended periods.

What You'll Do:

I. Food Delivery & Guest Interaction

  • Deliver food accurately to guest's tables in a timely manner, ensuring proper table and seat numbers are served.

  • Answer guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation with confidence and accuracy.

  • Handle guests' special dietary needs, allergies, or special requests with utmost sensitivity, following company procedure.

  • Must know the menu inside and out, including ingredients, preparations, and all food allergies.


II. Operational Support & Quality Control

  • Must know how to expo effectively and efficiently, ensuring proper dish presentation and accuracy before delivery.

  • Help manage the expo station, ensuring efficient flow of dishes from the kitchen to the dining room.

  • Prepare expo stations for service by filling sauces, stocking utensils, and ensuring all necessary garnishes are ready.

  • Maintain quality control in all dishes before they are delivered, ensuring presentation and accuracy.

  • Help manage the kitchen tickets as line cooks prepare food, keeping the screen up to date as dishes are delivered to tables.

  • Assist in clearing tables by removing used bottles, glasses, napkins, plates, etc., when guests no longer need them.

  • Sweep and mop the property as needed to maintain cleanliness.

  • Complete daily shift opening and closing side work checklist.

III. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards; keep the work area clean and organized.

  • Inform Manager on Duty (MOD) immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations.

  • Comply with Company's policies and procedures, as well as city, state, and federal laws.

  • Adhere to all HR policies and guidelines.

  • Update knowledge and skills by participating in any further required training.

  • Knowledgeable in all restaurant operations.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • 1+ years prior Runner experience or similar role in a restaurant preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge of expo procedures.

  • Strong understanding and ability to identify and manage food allergies.

  • Great interpersonal skills.

  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.

  • Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.

  • Multi-tasking abilities.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Able to comprehend and follow written and verbal directions.

  • Able to speak and understand English.

  • Able to understand basic math.

  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.


  • Able to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Able to bend, stoop, stand, and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day.

  • Able to manage going up and down stairs multiple times per day

  • Adaptable in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.

  • Organized approach to projects.

  • Able to take and give direction.

  • Able to approach their work with a sense of ownership and work with a sense of urgency.

  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays and variable schedule, per the needs of the business.

  • Able to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress.

  • Maintain polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards as outlined by Employee Handbook.

  • Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times.

  • Communicate information effectively and efficiently.

  • Maintain general knowledge of the restaurant, location, transportation methods, management team, etc.
