Exciting new restaurant opening opportunity - New York City's charming Olio e Più is coming to Bryant Park! We are looking for experienced Line Cooks who are excited to join us on our new endeavor. 

We are seeking individuals who have experience in a high-volume and fast-paced restaurant and are committed to impeccable food presentation and garnishing, providing an exceptional dining experience to our guests!

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes
  • Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen
  • Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards
  • Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate out old products based on a schedule created by the restaurant
  • Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day
  • Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds at a time, on a regular basis
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • High level of professionalism
  • Comfortable working with a team in a high volume and fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
  • Familiar with NYC industry’s standards and best practices

As an authentic trattoria, its cuisine is based on classic Italian dishes, with a focus on house-made pasta, hand-stretched pizza, and entrees like Branzino and Steak Fiorentina. The open dining area, traditional wood-fired oven, rustic interior, thin-crust Neapolitan-style pizza, and carefully selected wine and cocktail list bring a piece of old-world Italy to Bryant Park.

Our concepts are intricate and intentional. As we grow in New York City, we are also growing across the US! We are proud to have invested in the city over the past 10+ years and are looking forward to creating future spaces that embody our passion for timeless tradition. 

Our new Olio e Più in Bryant Park will embody the same authentic atmosphere as our original, renowned NYC location, while also integrating into its vibrant new community.
