NoHo Hospitality’s front-of-house team is seeking Sommeliers to join us at Locanda Verde, our neighborhood taverna serving Chef Andrew Carmellini's soul-satisfying urban Italian menu located in Robert DeNiro's TriBeCa hotel, The Greenwich.
Our bustling corner restaurant has been welcoming New Yorkers morning, noon and night with a warm and comfortable atmosphere, leisurely Italian spirit and heartfelt cooking since 2009.
Our wine program provides the opportunity to work with comprehensive depth and substantial vertical presence in all regions of Italy, with focus on Piedmont, Tuscany, Sicily, Friuli, Campania & Abruzzo; cocktails and spirits are similarly comprehensive. NoHo’s beverage program is run by Josh Nadel, MS.
Ideal candidates possess:
*Warm and gracious service approach, and the ability to create stellar guest experiences.
*High level functioning and poised demeanor in busy environments
*Strong knowledge in wine & spirits, with an emphasis on Italy
*Experience in cellar organization
*Ability to assume full responsibility for menu content and deliver excellent service
*Previous experience with POS and inventory systems
*The ability to lift 40+ pounds
*Comfortable speaking in front of a large group
*Open availability and career driven
